savIRC is an Open Source IRC Client written in Tcl/Tk. It was created by Saverio Castellano.

Casey and Phobie now continue the development.

savIRC has many features that the popular IRC clients have.
Some of the unique features are:

* Cross Platform, currently runs on Unix-like OS's and Windows (Mac is untested)
* Text Preview when using Color/Bold/Underline codes
* Anti-flood so you can copy a story and paste it all at once, and savIRC throttles how much text is sent.
* Multiple Network Connections
* Many more ...
