savIRC uses many commands that are commonly used in IRC Clients. However, some may slightly vary in the ways that they are meant to be used.

Each command will be specially formatted with all of the available options.

Optional Parameters.  If you see something like [foo | bar], it means that only one option can be used at one time.

Required Parameters.  Everything surrounded by the arrow keys are required.

			 /dcc [chat | send] <nick> [path/to/file] 
		

To use this example, you would choose either chat or send (both optional) then select a nick (required), select a path to the file that you want to send (optional).

If you have chosen send and not given the path to the file that you want to send. A file browser will open, allowing you to navigate to a file that you want to send.
