This Handbook was written by Casey Ackels with the goal of creating documentation that would be understandable and useful to all of the different types of people who use savIRC. The Handbook is split up into three sections. This way people who just want information on how to configure and find out the different features of savIRC won't have to wade through topics just for developers.
The three sections are:
In the Configuration Settings section, I will tell you what section we are in, and underline. Then I will tell you what section of the window that we are in, and specify the entry that I am talking about. For instance, say that a window has two boxes in it. Each box has a name, which are Settings, and Configuration. I will start out each section with the name of the box. And then continue talking about each entry in that box. ** For those technical users out there, I am talking about the FrameLabel.

You should use Tcl/Tk 8.3 or above. For better performance use 8.4.12 or above. Here are a few places that you can get Tcl/Tk from.
I recommend getting Tcl/Tk from ActiveState. The distribution comes with Tcl/Tk and several extensions. The installation is pain-free as well.
